Olivia Delapaz

Olivia M. DeLaPaz, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 25, 1929 in Kingsville to Timoteo Moreno and Beatriz Escamilla Moreno. Mrs. DeLaPaz was employed as a presser for Don's Cleaners and ABC Cleaners until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amado DeLaPaz Sr.; parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors, of Kingsville, include two sons, Amado DeLaPaz Jr. (Guadalupe) and Roberto DeLaPaz (Sylvia), one daughter, Sylvia Garza, and one brother, Timoteo Moreno. Additional survivors include two sisters, Maria Luisa DeLaPaz (Santiago) of Kingsville and Benilde Perez of Iowa; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at La Hermosa Church, 714 East Avenue B, Kingsville, with Rev. Victoria Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
