Ofilia Alvarez

Ofilia Alvarez age 53, went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2015. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, and friend to all. Ofilia had been employed at the Navy Exchange in Kingsville as the Branch Exchange manager for the past 31 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Christian Church where she held the position of Superintendent for Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Sandoval and sister, Gracie Montoya.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James Alvarez; son, Arie James Alvarez; mother, Santos Sandoval; brothers and sisters, Vernon (Sylvia) Sandoval of Kingsville TX, Eligio Sandoval of Alice TX, Sylvia (Nuno) Garcia of Bishop, TX, Carlos Sandoval of San Antonio, TX., Richard (Kim) Sandoval of Elgin, Illinois, Sandra Sandoval of Bishop, TX., and Rene (Celia) Sandoval of Bishop, TX.

Visitation was held Sunday November 15, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte Piper Mortuary Chapel with a prayer service theld at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Service was held on Monday November 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Christian Church with Rev. Rogelio Faragoza officiating. Interment followed at Evangelico Cemetery.
