Ofelia Waldroop

Ofelia Waldroop, age 75, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 23, 1942 in Bishop, Texas to Miguel Rodriguez and Antonia Villarreal Rodriguez. Mrs. Waldroop was a licensed vocational nurse until her retirement.
She was preceded in death on December 18, 2010 by her husband, William Norman Waldroop; parents; and sister, Yolanda Galvan.
Ofelia is survived by one daughter, Maria Elena Medina (Alexander) of Kingsville; stepson, Steven Wayne Waldroop (Celeste) of Flower Mound, Texas; one stepdaughter, Larraine Annette Waldroop of Oklahoma; two brothers, Roberto Silva (Amelia) of San Antonio, Texas and Melecio Gonzales Jr. of Bishop, Texas; and three grandchildren, Kevin A. Medina of Kingsville, Lauren Waldroop of Tampa, Florida and Sydney Waldroop of Roanoke, Texas.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Evelyn Wright officiating. Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
