Octaviana "Tana" Torres

Octaviana “Tana” L. Torres passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on May 30, 1934 in Falfurrias, Texas to Petra Sauceda and Manuel Longoria. Throughout her life she was active in many activities: Columbian Ladies, Red Hat Ladies, St. Martin’s Altar Society, Mr. & Mrs. Social Club and El Dorado club. She also belonged to St. Martin’s Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roel “Roy” Amelio Torres, her parents Manuel Longoria and Petra Sauceda. Her sister Lydia L. Perez and brother Manual Longoria.

She is survived by her daughter Rose Ann Cordero (Mike Amador); 2 granddaughters, Adrianna Bianca Cordero and Anyssa Beatrice Cordero; her sister, Lee Pizano; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family viewing will be on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Public viewing will be on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
