Norma Walker

Norma Lee Walker, 94, was called home on November 29, 2017. ‘Grandma' was born August 30, 1923 to Clifford & Mabel Cummings King in Del Rio, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dorothy Manger and Betty Martin; brothers-in-law, Henry Manger and Thomas Martin; husbands, E.C. Barker and Dale R. Walker; and sons, Joseph A. Barker and Renwick E. Walker.
Norma is survived by sons: Dale Walker Jr., Phillip Gregory (Janine), Everett (Dana), & Dwight (Tina); 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a humble woman with a strong faith in our Lord. She raised her four sons with the belief that God should come first in their lives and she lived that by example.
Norma had an incredible zest for life. She was loved by everyone who met her and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family wants to give a special ‘Thank You!' to grandma's dedicated caregivers, Martha & Valde Vasquez, Rosa Quintanilla, Diane Clack, Brittney Scott and Kym Redus, for their friendship, compassion, and loving care.
A celebration of her life will be held December 16, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Ricardo Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ricardo Baptist Church.
