Norma Gloria De La Rosa, a cherished soul in our community, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness. Born on January 3, 1959, Norma's life was a testament to the profound impact one individual can make in the lives of many.
Norma dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Her associate’s degree in nursing equipped her with the skills and knowledge to care deeply for her patients. Known for her gentle touch and unwavering support, she had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel safe and valued. Her coworkers and patients alike remember her as a beacon of warmth and encouragement, a reflection of her incredibly kind and welcoming personality. Norma’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched through her nurturing care and genuine kindness.
In her personal life, Norma was equally devoted to her passions and interests. She found joy in sewing, creating beautiful pieces that she lovingly shared with family and friends. Her trips to the gym were more than just fitness routines; they were a commitment to health that inspired others around her. Thrift shopping was another beloved pastime, where she uncovered hidden treasures, often repurposing them with creativity and flair. Additionally, Norma was an exceptional cook and baker who delighted everyone with her culinary masterpieces; each dish was prepared with love, drawing family and friends together around the table.
Norma’s spirit will forever be remembered as one filled with gratitude and joy. She was always ready to lend a hand, her infectious smile brightening even the darkest days. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, embodying the essence of true friendship and love.
As we honor Norma Gloria De La Rosa, we hold dear the countless memories of her kindness, her laughter, and her enduring love for life. She leaves behind an indelible mark on our hearts, and while she may have departed from this world, her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her son, Orlando De La Rosa; parents, Matias G. and Hermila (Hernandez) De La Rosa; siblings, David Carlos Hinojosa and Rosalinda H. Moreno.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gilberto Omar De La Rosa and Olivia De La Rosa; siblings, Graciela H. Esquivel and Mary Jane H. Anzaldua; fur-baby, Rocky; fur-grandbaby, Dexter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August, 24, 2024 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a eulogy to begin at 1:00 p.m. Services will conclude that afternoon and a private burial will take place at a later date.
