Norma Delacruz

Norma Legaspi DeLaCruz, age 80, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born February 11, 1933 in Tondo, Manila, Philippines to Gregorio Legaspi and Amelia Carpio Legaspi. Mrs. DeLaCruz was employed as a preschool teacher at the First United Methodist Church, Kingsville, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church and FilAm Club of Kingsville. Mrs. DeLaCruz was a very supportive Navy wife of 20 years.
Norma is survived by her husband of 54 years of marriage, Benjamin P. DeLaCruz of Kingsville three sons, Burt L. DeLaCruz Stephanie of Parker, Texas, Bern L. DeLaCruz Donna of Wylie, Texas and Bobb L. DeLaCruz Melissa of Corpus Christi two sisters, Zenida Legaspi and Ofelia Legaspi, both of the Philippines 11 grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church, 1120 South Eighth Street, Kingsville, with Fr. James Stembler as celebrant. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
