Nestor Hinojosa, age 76, went to be with the Lord May 6, 2017. He was born on August 9th 1940 in Kingsville TX to Agustin Hinojosa and Juanita Montalvo Hinojosa. Nestor served in the United States Army, enlisted June 1959 and continued his service in the United States Army Reserve until 1965. After his service he entered the oil industry as a truck driver and worked for the NAS Kingsville as a fuel technician, fueling the training jets. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, who loved to dance, and also enjoyed traveling.
He is preceded in death by his grandson Noeh Bazan; three brothers, Ignacio, Enrique, and Augustine Hinojosa; two sisters, Enriqueta Salinas, Evangelia Silvas.
He is survived by two children Nestor Hinojosa Jr. (Roxanne DeLeon) of Kingsville, and Nora Hinojosa (Jeff Goggeleye) of Houston; mother of his children Genoveva Hinojosa; brother Joe Barron (Beatrice) of Orange Grove; his companion for nine years Viola Simoneau of Kingsville. Two sisters, Evangelina Cruz of Kingsville, and Janie Blomer (Paul) of Corpus Christi; stepdaughter, Blanca Padilla (Ricardo); Sisters-in-law Consuelo Hinojosa, and Antonia Hinojosa of Kingsville.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 9, 2017 at 5p.m. to 9p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 10a.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, interment to follow at Chamberlain Cemetery. With military honors provided by Kleberg County Detail Team.
