Albert Ray Mickey Huey, age 83, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born April 12, 1930 in Avant, Oklahoma to Jesse Lloyd Huey and Effie Josephine Stevens Huey. After retiring from the oilfield in Freer, Texas, he moved to Bishop. He was a loving husband, daddy and granddad. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bishop.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Clyde and Ralph two sisters, Louise Deaver and Jennnie Brouchard and five nephews, Kenneth and Jack Huey, Everett, Bud and Donald Deaver.
Mickey is survived by his wife of 60 years of marriage, Doris Huey of Bishop one daughter, Coleen Tem Miller of Bishop one son, Noal Booger Hali Huey of Seymour, Wisconsin three grandsons, Kyle Ashley Huey of New London, Wisconsin, Cody Huey and Kendall of Tifton, Georgia and Clint Huey of Seymour, Wisconsin two greatgrandchildren two stepgrandchildren four stepgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bishop. Burial will follow in Bishop at Concordia Cemetery.
Pallbearer will be Kyle, Cody and Clint Huey, James and Jeff Faske and Derek Schulze.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a childrens home or a charity of your choice.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
