Michael Rodriguez

Michael Anthony Rodriguez, age 47, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Kingsville. He was born July 23, 1968 in Kingsville to Teodoro Rodriguez Sr. and SanJuana Garza Rodriguez. Michael was employed for Thermodynamic Design and Manufacturing as a machine shop foreman in Robstown, Texas. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Bishop.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Teodoro Rodriguez Jr. and Tomas Rodriguez, both of Alice, Texas; one sister, Anna Ortega of Kingsville; and one brother-in-law, Charlie Goetsch of Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, DeLydia Mejia-Rodriguez of Bishop; three sons, Michael Anthony Rodriguez Jr. (Lilly), Joshua C. Rodriguez and Jeremy Jacob Rodriguez, all of Bishop; two brothers, Tim Rodriguez (Janie) and Mark Rodriguez, both of Bishop; five sisters, Ofelia Pena (Alvaro) of Kingsville, Ovelia Morales of Paulding, Ohio, Janie Odom (Bob) of Kingsville, Alice Pollitt (Jeff) of Arkansas and Mary R. Goetsch of Bishop; three sisters-in-law, Irma Rodriguez and Nelda Rodriguez, both of Alice, Sofia Mejia (Kenny) of Kingsville; brother-in-law, Bruno Mejia Jr. of Kingsville; father-in-law, Bruno Mejia Sr. of Kingsville; mother-in-law, Janie Esquivel (Albert) of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren; special niece whom Michael raised, Brhianna Lynn Mejia of Kingsville; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, Bishop with Fr. James Stembler as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bishop at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville.
