Mercedes Silguero

Mercedes Montalvo Silguero, age 94, passed away April 19, 2018. She was born on December 25, 1923 to Pedro Montalvo and Concepcion Montalvo in Laureles Ranch, Tx. She was a great cook, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was loved by all. She was a giving person who always placed her family first; we will always cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Concepcion Montalvo, Father in Law Narciso Silguero, Mother in Law Juanita Silguero, Brothers: Pedro Montalvo, Miguel Montalvo, and Francisco Montalvo; Sisters: Juanita Hinojosa, Luisa Davila, Oravia Pena, Sara Riviera, Victoria Montalvo, Angelita Guerra, and Julia Montalvo; Granddaughters: Rosario Vasquez, and Maricela Silguero Pena. Great-Great Granddaughter Rosealee Lynn Lawson and Great-Great Grandson Skylar James Lawson
She is survived by her husband of 78 years Paulino N. Silguero; Daughter Eluteria Gonzales from Sarita, Tx.; Sons: Paulino (Alma) Silguero, Rene (Rachel) Silguero, Arturo (Noemi) Silguero all from Hebbronville, Tx, Agapito Silguero (Diana Flores) of Realitos, Tx; Twenty-four grandchildren, Eighty-three great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held April 26, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.at the Turcotte Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel on April 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte Piper Mortuary.
