Maximino "Max" Peña Sr.

Maximino “Max” Peña Sr. passed away on June 26, 2020 at his home in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on June 8, 1935 in Kingsville, Texas to Modesto Peña and Catarina Dominguez.

He worked at Dick Kleberg Park, Mundy Construction, and retired from Celenase after 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Modesto Peña, Catarina Dominguez and stepmother; Antonia Gomez and wife of 46 years Enriquetta Flores; two sisters Anita Perez and Maria Tamayo.

He is survived by his sister, Amelia (Robert) Silvas, two daughters; Mary Lou Peña and Virginia (Raymond) Reyes, two sons; Max Peña Jr., David (Eliza) Peña.  A very close and personal friend; Tina Munoz, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
