Mary Shafer

Mary Ruth Shafer, age 86, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Bishop. She was born May 20, 1927 in Rosebud, Texas to Grady Harden and Ella Lewallen Harden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Shafer son, Kenneth R. Shafer three brothers, Ray Harden, Roy Harden and Olan Harden and parents.
Mrs. Shafer is survived by one daughter, DeAnn Maddox of Marlin, Texas one brother, J.W. Harden of Spring, Texas two sisters, Dean Brown of Enumclaw, Washington and Carolyn Taylor of Bishop five grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Clif Abshier officiating.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
