Mary Christine Yaklin Robertson was born December 29, 1926 to Antonia and Leo Yaklin at Loyola Beach, Texas. The oldest daughter of 12 children, she learned to cook, clean, and sew and left school at an early age to help with her family needs.
At age 18 she married Johnny (Pud) Robertson and they celebrated 65 years together before his death in 2010. Their marriage was blessed with 11 children - 7 boys and 4 girls - Johnnie Lee, Tom, Jeri, Verna, Bruce, Connie, Mike "Red", Willie, Rita, Tim and Gaylord.
Mary's Catholic faith and belief in God were unshakable and her source of strength throughout her life. She believed simply and certainly that we are all here to help one another and she lived her entire life in pursuit of being of help to someone. Praying the rosary for anyone in need was a favorite form of lending help as she grew older.
She will be remembered as a selfless, humble, kind, and gentle lady who was never too busy to help those in need and welcomed any and all she came to know with warm fellowship and great home cooking.
Mother (Mary) you show that you are a letter from Christ... written not in ink but with the spirit of the Living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.
11 Corinthians 3:3

Mary is survived by sons Thomas Warren "Tom" (Dona), Bruce Allan, Michael Dean "Red" (Debi) and Timothy Wayne (Diane) Robertson, daughters Verna Louise (Dave) Pinkerd, Constance Suzanne "Connie" Boring and Rita Ann (Rick) Fry.
