Martin Amaya

Martin Amaya, 57, passed away on February 15, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on September 19, 1963 in Coahuila, Mexico to Esteban and Carmen Amaya. He worked with H-E-B for 17 years. He had many hobbies that included hunting, guns, and staying busy with yard work. Martin will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Esteban and Carmen Amaya; wife, Nydia Amaya; children, Richard Amaya (Aidee), Robert Amaya (Bridgett), Marlene Gonzalez (Adan); 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, David Amaya (Magda), Miguel Amaya (Laura); Ramiro Amaya (Maria Luisa); sisters, Ester Lopez (Ronnie); several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
