Marlen Murphy

Marlen David Murphy, age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Kingsville. He was born December 12, 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Before his retirement, he was the owner of a local credit bureau.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Gina Shields.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Gloria Murphy of Kingsville soninlaw, William A. Shields III of Sugar Land, Texas and one grandson, William A. Shields IV of Sugar Land.
Visitation will take place after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow that afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
