Mark Madrazo, a beloved father, grandfather, and husband, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Kingsville, Texas, on November 14, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on February 8, 1955, Mark spent his life surrounded by family and friends who cherished his patient and kind nature. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Mark served his country with honor and dedication.
Mark found joy in hobbies that enriched his spirit. He was an avid gardener, bringing life and beauty to his surroundings, and enjoyed the creative outlet of pottery. In quieter moments, he could be found indulging in his favorite pastime—watching movies and shows, particularly his absolute favorite, "The Big Bang Theory." His love for reading filled his life with knowledge and adventure, enriching his conversations and shaping his gentle views on life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Yvonne Madrazo, who stood by him through every chapter of their journey together. Mark’s legacy continues through his children: Mark Barbour, Charis Walker, and Tim (Erian) Barbour. His children were not just his pride but also his joy, as he embraced each moment spent with them. The joy of his life was also amplified by his role as a grandfather, leaving behind his grandchildren Blake, Adrianna, James, Karissa, Kaleigh, Kassidy, Ariana, Grace Lynn, Lilly-Ann, Emma, and Xander, who's lives he touched so deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Madrazo, and his mother, Grace Barbour Madrazo, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in eternal peace.
As we remember Mark Madrazo, let us celebrate a life filled with kindness, creativity, and unwavering love. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
