Maria Sanchez

Maria Olga Sanchez of Kingsville Texas passed away suddenly of heart failure on Thursday, December 14 in Kingsville Texas. Maria was born on September 17, 1947 to Longino and Albesa Acuna in Kingsville Texas. Maria was a retired Houston police officer and enjoyed saltwater fishing.

She was preceded in death by both her parents her sister Maria Vela; her loving husband Gregorio; and her son Greg.

Maria is survived by her sister Matilde (Macario) Mayorga; by a brother Oscar (Nicolasa) Rodriguez; she is survived by her beloved daughter‘s Lori Sanchez-Wilson (Jack) of Austin Texas and Maria Inez Acuna of Houston Texas .

The family wants to give a special "Thank You" to Moms dedicated nurses at the Kingsville and Rehabilitation Center: Elizabeth Perez and Elizabeth Garcia. OpusCare Hospice: Chaplain Sandra, Stacy, Trini and Ann.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Raul Rosales officiating.
