Maria Rodriguez

Maria Guadalupe "Pita" Rodriguez, age 62, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born December 12, 1952 in Kingsville to Francisco G. Rios and Luisa G. Rios. Mrs. Rodriguez was a former employee of Kleberg County Human Services. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. Mrs. Rodriguez graduated from Texas A&M University - Kingsville with a B.S. degree.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francisco G. Rios Jr.; and father-in-law, Gilberto Abundio Rodriguez Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Gilberto G. Rodriguez Jr. of Kingsville; one daughter, Heather Marie Rodriguez of San Antonio; one son, Gilberto Rodriguez III (Cecilia) of Kingsville; three sisters, Ana Gonzalez (Ernesto) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Delma-Rios Salazar (Armando) of Kingsville and Mary Terry Rios-Pallanes (David) of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Jesus "Jessie" Rios of Kingsville; mother-in-law, Esperanza Rodriguez of Riviera, Texas; sister-in-law, Glinda Utley (Martin) of Ricardo, Texas; brother-in-law, Gustavo Rodriguez of Riviera; and five grandchildren, Alyssa Renae Rodriguez, Ashley Regina Rodriguez, Andrew Ryan Rodriguez, Isabella Marie Rodriguez and Gilberto A. Rodriguez IV.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
