Maria I. Rosa, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on June 12, 2024. With a personality that was both blunt and stern yet generously giving, Maria was a pillar of strength and support for her family and friends. Her unwavering faith guided her through life, a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear.
Born on December 16, 1942, Maria's life was a tapestry woven with moments of joy, laughter, and selflessness. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, from baking delights in the kitchen to creating intricate quilts with skilled hands. Her love for sewing and coloring brought color and beauty into the world around her, reflecting the vibrant spirit that resided within her. Maria had a passion for embarking on road trips, always seeking new adventures and experiences.
Maria's sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude were balanced by her compassion and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She embodied the true essence of a family provider, ensuring that those she loved were always taken care of with unwavering dedication. Maria's presence brought comfort and strength to all who sought solace in her kind words and soothing prayers.
In the memories that remain etched in the minds of her surviving family members, Maria will be remembered for her profound love for spending quality time with loved ones. Her warm presence during family gatherings filled hearts with joy and created bonds that will withstand the test of time.
We find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her legacy inspire us to live each day with grace, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to family values.
She is preceded in death by parents, Ygnacio and Josefa Jimenez; siblings, Estellita Jimenez, Elisa Lerma, Guadalupe Castaneda, Olivia Garcia, Octavio Jimenez, Dora Perez, Gloria Jimenez, Janie Guartuche, and Ygnacio Jimenez.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Orlando (fiancée Theresa) and Jose Omar Rosa; siblings, Mary (Oscar) Rodriguez, Bene (Angel) Jimenez, Jose Alfredo (Vilma) Jimenez of Bishop, TX, and Rosie (Edward) Trujillo of Kingsville, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A mass of Christian burial and interment are to be re-scheduled for a later date, due to weather.
