Maria Elena Campos

Maria Elena Campos, born on March 7th, 1953 in Kingsville, TX, passed away peacefully at home on December 18th, 2023. Maria was surrounded by her family and loved ones during her final moments. She was 70 years old.

Maria lived a courageous life and showed strength in spite of her early illness. She will be remembered for her humor and ability to make people laugh. She was a provider and a great home maker who loved to cook. Maria had many hobbies and interests that brought joy to her life. She had an unwavering love for the ocean and its sea life, enjoyed drawing, mechanic work, & singing. She will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mariano and Angelita R. Campos, as well as her siblings: Roberto "Ginge" Campos, Daniel Campos, Willie Campos, Gilberto "Gordo" Campos, and Luisa Campos.

Maria leaves behind a loving daughter named Anna Mireles who admired her strength and admired the values she instilled within her family. She is survived by sisters Alicia Campos and San Juanita Alvarez; brothers Ruben Campos, Reynaldo Campos, Jesse Ydrogo, Rafael Campos, Alberto Campos,
Jose Luis Campos, Manuel Campos; granddaughters Mathilda Mireles, Angelita Mireles, and Michaela Mireles. Additionally, she is survived by numerous extended family members who will miss her dearly.

To honor Maria's memory and celebrate her life, a service will be held on December 26th, 2023 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with a holy rosary starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. This will give family and loved ones a time to come together and reflect on cherished memories.

Maria Elena Campos will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
