Margarita Renteria

Margarita H. Renteria, age 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Terrell, Texas. She was born June 9, 1935 in Zapata, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Conrado and Rosalinda Herrera; siblings, Ernestina Garcia, David Herrera, Petra Garza, Juanita Herrera; and grandson, Hilberto Garcia Jr.

In her early life she worked as a seamstress and a housekeeper and married Enrique R. Garcia and had eight children. She had two daughters Victoria G (Reynaldo) De los Santos, Alamar G. (Jose) Hernandez; six sons, Enrique Garcia Jr., Roberto Garcia, Theodoro Garcia, Erasmo (Maria) Garcia, Alfredo Garcia, Hilberto (Irma) Garcia. She had 32 grandchildren, 58 Great- grandchildren, 4 Great- Great-grandchildren.

Margarita truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures of visiting her friends and family and listening to music and dancing.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Procession will be leaving from the funeral home to the church at 9:30 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at St. Martins Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Diego Cemetery.
