Margaret Young

Margaret "Margo" Jane Young, 96, died August 27, 2016 in Austin, Texas surrounded by family. She was born December 22nd, 1919 in Bryan, Ohio to Dewey and Mabel Wyrebaugh. In 1938, she married Roy A. Young of Defiance, Ohio where they began their family. In 1951, the family moved to Kingsville, Texas where Margo became a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women (UMW).
Margo and Roy opened Young's Root Beer Stand in 1956, now Young's Pizza. Upon retirement, they moved to Lake Corpus Christi where they lived until 1994. Margo moved to Uvalde, Tx in 1995 where she remained active in UMW and was a dedicated volunteer with Hospice.
Margo was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, son Danny Roy Young, and siblings Richard, Bill, Jeanine, and Jerry Wyrebaugh.
Margo is survived by her children Darrel and wife Barbara Young, daughter-in-law Lu Young, Darla and husband Jay Finney, Dawne Young, D'nese and husband Chip Fly, sisters Joyce Moorehead and Carol Wing, sisters-in-law Sylvia Young and Mardell Mangett, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Public visitation will take place on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Kingsville. Funeral service will take place after the visitation at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
