Margaret Nix

Margaret Estelle Nix, age 98, a resident of Kingsville, Texas since 1924 passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Kingsville. She was born January 24, 1917 in Harper, Texas to James Denton Tracy and Jesse Lorena Gibson Tracy. Mrs. Nix and her husband were owners of Nix Farm & Dairy. Afterwards she was employed for the Kingsville Record for 10 years. Mrs. Nix was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Paul Nix Sr.; two sons, Lester Paul Nix Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Nix Sr.; parents; and grandson, Steven Lorenzo Nix.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Patricia Carolynne Nix-Bird (Donald) of Camp Wood, Texas; one son, James Dow Nix (Janelle) of Kingsville; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Kingsville, 312 West King Street, Kingsville.
