Margaret Turner Anthes, age 96, a resident since 1960 of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1921 in Houston, Texas to Willie Jones Turner Sr. and Dorothy Bradbury Turner. She was a resident of Houston until 1945 and later resided in Kilgore, Texas where she met Norman Anthes whom she married. Mrs. Anthes was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Anthes; two brothers, Robert C. Turner and W.J. Turner; and three sisters-in-law, Millie, Thelma and Kathleen Turner.
Mrs. Anthes is survived by two sons, Barry Anthes of Kingsville and Larry Anthes and wife Cheeri of Elk City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Tim Anthes (his fiancé Richelle Manion), Shannon Hinkle Abati and Steven Hinkle; six great-grandchildren; one niece, Nancy Turner Purkis of Canada; three nephews, Roger Turner of Arizona, Bobby Turner Jr. and Bill Turner, both of Canada; and six special friends, Mark Gattis, Norma Arredondo, Mary Malone, Andy Rendon, Don and Patty Johnson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Vallilea Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
