Marcela Garcia

Marcela Barrera Garcia, age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Kingsville. She was born July 9, 1928 in Kingsville to Asencio Barrera and Juliana Cavazos Barrera.
Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Cipriano E. Garcia Sr.; son, Samuel Garcia Sr.; and parents.
She is survived by 14 children, Luis Rivera (Diana), Donaciano Rivera (Angie), Consuelo Garcia, Luisa Castillo (Roel), Eva Maldonado (Rene), Anita Garcia (Jesse), Cipriano Garcia Jr. (Norma), Juanita Saldana, Alma Daniel (Chris), Pedro Garcia, Angie DeLaPaz, Emma Sais (Marty), Antonia Ragsdale (Tom) and Samantha Garcia; five sisters, Rafaela Cisneros, Amelia Utley, Julia DeLaRosa, Sulema Gonzalez and Ester Bernal; three brothers, Raul Barrera, Ramiro Barrera and Asencio Barrera Jr.; 44 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
