Manuel Rodriguez

Manuel Javier Rodriguez, age 70, a resident of Kingsville, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born March 2, 1944 in Kingsville, Texas to Manuel Rodriguez and Elena Benavides Rodriguez. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. He loved his family dearly, was an avid hunter and loved to travel. He was the owner of Rodriguez and Sons Plumbing Company and was a third generation plumber.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edelmiro Rodriguez of Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years of marriage, Rosa Ena Rodriguez three sons, Randy Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Rodney Rodriguez of Kingsville and Richard Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas one sister, Idolina Saenz of Kingsville and two brothers, Hector Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas and Ademar Rodriguez of Kingsville. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Brittany Rodriguez, two grandsons, Ryan Rodriguez and Ramsey Rodriguez, and one greatgranddaughter, Gabriella Rose Rodriguez, all of Kingsville, whom he loved very much.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Mr. Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
