Lyndon Elliott

Lyndon Leon Elliott, age 91 of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, March 10th, at Kingsville Spohn Hospital with his son John Elliott by his side. Lyndon Elliott was born in Lampasas Texas to Shelby and Ruby Elliott on March 18, 1930. He moved to Lockhart in 1945. He graduated from Lockhart High School in Lockhart, Texas. Upon graduation he worked in Lockhart and Austin. Lyndon Elliott was married to Eva Nell Roddenberry of Lockhart on December 28, 1952. After working for the state about one and half years, Lyndon Elliott moved to Bishop, Texas and went to work for Celanese Corporation in 1954; he worked at Celanese for 38 years before he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bishop. Lyndon loved his church family dearly; and he loved the outdoors. He grew up hunting and fishing; most of all, he loved his cat TC.

Lyndon is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Nell Roddenberry; father, Shelby D. Elliott; and mother, Calley Ruby Jordon Elliott.

Lyndon is survived by his son John Norman Elliott.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Bishop, TX officiated by Revered Cliff Abshier.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Bishop, TX.
