Louis Cabrera

Louis G. Cabrera, 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1927 in Kleberg County, Texas to Enemencio Cabrera and Francisca Garza Cabrera. Mr. Cabrera was employed for the Kingsville Sears Store for 14 years and later at Texas A&I University for 14 years. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and also a member of the Cursillistas Religious Movement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and five sisters, Carolina Alaniz, Beatrice Gonzalez, Consuelo Soliz, Guadalupe Salinas and Frances Cabrera.
Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years of marriage, Onodelia "Lilly" G. Cabrera of Kingsville; two daughters, Frances Cabrera Ray (Steve) of Houston, Texas and Lou Ann Cabrera of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Delfina Cabrera Guzman of Corpus Christi, Texas; one grandson, Dustin Louis Ray; one great-granddaughter, Bella Rose Miller; and one great-grandson, Braysen Dean Ray.
Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
