Leonila Chavez

Leonila J. Chavez, age 58, a resident of Ricardo, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born January 17, 1959 in Vattmann, Texas to Abelardo Jimenez and Esperanza Garcia Jimenez. Leo was a 1978 graduate of Riviera High School. She was employed at EZ Pawn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Rosa Cantu, Angie Garcia, and Gracie Chapa; and one brother, Abelardo Jimenez Jr.
Leo is survived by her husband of 42 years of marriage, Santos Chavez of Ricardo; three children Joshua (Felicia) Chavez, Monica Chavez, and Vincent Chavez, all of Kingsville; four sisters, Yolanda (Ruben) Chavez, Estella (Mundo) Ruiz, Mary Perez, and Dora (Joe) Hernandez; six brothers, Samuel (Anna) Jimenez, Abel (Janie) Jimenez, Matthew (Dale) Jimenez, Joe Henry (Teresa) Cano, Robert (Karen) Jimenez and Danny (Margie) Jimenez; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November, 25, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, 715 N. 8th Street, Kingsville, Tx. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Cemetery in Vattmann, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
