Larry G. Garcia, age 75, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born January 30, 1940 in Hebbronville, Texas to Gilberto S. Garcia and Maria Almaraz Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a tool pusher for Rice Well Service for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto S. Garcia and Maria Almaraz Garcia.
Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years of marriage, Sandra Garcia of Bishop; one daughter, Cynthia Garcia (Crisostomo) of Kingsville, Texas; one son, Lawrence "Larry" Garcia (Norma) of Bishop, Texas; two brothers, Gilbert Garcia Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Roberto Garcia (Edna) of Kingsville; two sisters, Yolanda Benavidez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Oralia Garcia of Bishop; five grandchildren, Dillon Garcia, Reymundo DeLaGarza, Lauro Garcia, Romero Garcia and Mia Perez; three nephews, David Benavidez, Robert Garcia Jr. and Erik Guevara; and six nieces, Linda Martinez, Diana Benavidez, Melissa Garcia, Lisa Garcia, Irma Avalos and Belinda Lopez.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jim M. Curran officiating. Military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail will take place immediately outside of the mortuary at the conclusion of the memorial service.
