Julia Lynn Norman Hees, age 86, a longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. She was born November 10, 1930 in Combes, Texas to Lonnie Tillman Norman and Myrtle Alice Harris Norman. She worked alongside her husband in the office of L.C. Hees Construction and Realty. Mrs. Hees was a devout member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to have her family in her home. Many Sunday lunches were prepared in her home for her children and grandchildren. She loved to tell people about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Mrs. Hees was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Hees; daughter, Linda Lea Hees; parents; sister, Dorothy Adair; and brother, Marvin Norman.
She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Best (Tom) and Susan Nitschmann (Royce), both of Kingsville, and Pam Taylor (Jack) of Calallen, Texas; nine grandchildren, Nichole Saenz (John) of Kingsville, Michelle Trant (Michael) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Beau Best (Haylea) of Kingsville, Seth Nitschmann (Carley) of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Jacob Nitschmann of Midland, Texas, Charlee Nitschmann of Kingsville, Courtney Taylor of Austin, Texas, Whitney and Ryan Taylor, both of Calallen; seven great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Kyler and Jaedyn Saenz, Ramsey and Rex Trant, Thomas Best, Jax Nitschmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 312 West King Avenue, Kingsville, with Dr. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
