Julia "Judy" B. Eleazer, age 99, a resident of Shepherd, Texas and a former longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born January 24, 1918 in Beeville, Texas to George Burroughs and Anges Allen Burroughs. Mrs. Eleazer was employed in Civil Service at the Kingsville Naval Air Station. She was a faithful member since 1950 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church and St. Gertrude's Altar Society. She was also a volunteer member at Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elon Eleazer; son, Richard Eleazer; parents; one brother, Clarence Burroughs; and two sisters, Laura Copley and Betty Owens.
Mrs. Eleazer is survived by one niece, Janice Christi LeBlance (Jil) of Shepherd, Texas in addition to six other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church with Fr. James Stembler as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
