Julia Bartine

Julia Jane Bartine was born on September 29, 1926 in Goree, Texas to Edgar McCoy and Cardelia Eugenia Allen McCoy. Mrs. Bartine was a 1944 graduate of Bishop High School, Bishop, Texas. She was a resident of Kingsville, Texas from 1945 to 1966. On January 18, 1947 she married Carl David Bartine. He preceded her in death in 1995. She has lived in Katy since 1993 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Julia was an avid tennis player when she was younger, and most recently was a member of the AARP Club.
Julia passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Katy, at the age of 88 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jo Guzick and her husband, Louis M. of Katy; son, David L. Bartine and his wife, Julie Ann of Katy; grandchildren, Sarah Renee Donovan, Julia Leah Guzick, William Johnson, James Johnson, Carl Pierce Bartine and Chloe Elizabeth Bartine; and great grandson, Christian Monogold. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alton Winslow McCoy and Edgar McCoy, Jr.; sisters, Ola Lee Pearson, Ola Fay McCoy and Helen John Buck; and a daughter, Carol Ann Johnson and her husband, Larry Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Restland Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.
