Juan Rodriguez

Juan E. Rodriguez, 63, passed away on January 31, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born July 31, 1957 in Lampazos, Mexico to Jesus Rodriguez and Evangelina Salazar de Rodriguez. Juan was family oriented. He enjoyed visiting family and attending family functions to celebrate with them. He liked conversing about the past, present, and future. He was a hard worker. He started as a young shoe shiner and popcorn vendor. He would tell others that one day he would have a life and a good business in the U.S. He met that goal of being owner and operator of his own business, Home Improvement Construction. Juan made sure his family had a roof over their head and he would always say "Que nunca les falte nada" and "Que siempre tengan lo que yo no tuve".When he gave himself time off, he enjoyed fishing with family.  That was his time for reflection and to be in the moment. He also liked to BBQ, listen to music, and dance. He was a very detailed man in his life, his work, and his relationships. He would gift his wife roses spontaneously. In his craftsmanship, he would take his time until his work was perfect. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, and brother, Santos Rodriguez.

Juan is survived by his wife, Luisa "Betty" Rodriguez; children, Soraida Rodriguez, Amber Gabriela Rodriguez, Edmundo Jesus Rodriguez (Angela); 7 Grandchildren; siblings, Maria Leyva, Maria Teresa, Benito Rodriguez, Esmeralda Jaulbert, Jesus Rodriguez, Marta Rodriguez, Sonia Cabriale, and Oscar Rodriguez.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a prayer service to begin at 5:00 p.m. Chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Evangelico Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.
