Joyce Turcotte

Joyce Turcotte, age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas and a former resident of Sarita, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Kingsville surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 25, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Paul Lawrence Mynier and Velma Elizabeth Morgan Mynier. Joyce and her late husband, Louis Edgar, were prominent ranchers in the South Texas area. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sarita, and presently at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Kingsville. Joyce was a former member of the Falfurrias Dance Club and Kingsville Women's Club. She was a former member of A.S.C.S. Agricultural Committee of Kenedy County. She was a member of the Bishop's Guild of the Diocese of Corpus Christi. She also was a member of the President's Circle of Texas A&M University - Kingsville.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Edgar Turcotte Jr.; parents; and brother, Paul Mynier.
Joyce is survived by four daughters, Katie May (Leonard) of Bishop, Texas, Betsy Deere (Buddy) of Reagan Wells, Texas, Susan Anderson (Robert) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Marie Stella Page (Dennis) of Reagan Wells; two sons, Louis Edgar "Bud" Turcotte III and Andrew Turcotte, both of Sarita; three sisters-in-law, Jean Claire Turcotte, Barbara Sue Turcotte and Elizabeth Stella Turcotte; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sarita, followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Kingsville, followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.
"Joyce will always be remembered as a fun seeking lady by her family and friends."
