Josefina "Josie" Soliz

Josefina “Josie” G. Soliz, 68, passed away on October 18, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on August 6, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Alfonso T. Garcia and Lydia Alegria Garcia.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melissa Ann Soliz; step-father, Baldemar A. Garcia; brother, Baldemar A. Garcia Jr.; and her brother-in-law, James Hill.

Josie is survived by her children: Emilio G. Soliz (Natalie), Angie (David) Quinones, and Krystle (Anthony) Barrera; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Joe Quintanilla (Frances), Alfonso (Herlinda) Garcia, Aniceto (Dalinda) Garcia, Ricardo “Rick” (Janie) Garcia; sisters, Juanita “Janie” Hill, Jesusa “Jessie” (Natie) Garcia-Luna, Maria Garcia “Marie”; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Drive Thru Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a private Rosary to be recited via livestream at 7:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held via livestream at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2020. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
