Jose Davila Sr.

Jose Mendietta Davila, Sr., 76, passed away on July 13, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 21, 1944 in Kingsville, Texas to Andres and Agapita Davila. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and cutting a rug doing the two step. Most of all Joe enjoyed spending as much time with his family and always put them first. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Andres Davila Jr., Renee Davila.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Laura Lee Davila, Patricia Ann Davila; son Joe Davila, Jr.; grandsons Israel Rodriguez III, Jose Andres Rodriguez, Tyler Lee Garza, and Robert Christopher McEwen; granddaughters Crystal Davila, Sabrina Davila, Karina Davila; great-granddaughters Alexis Rodriguez, Anhelika Rodriguez, Jazelle Ramirez, Isabella Rodriguez, and Leilani Rodriguez; sisters Graciela Butler and Magdalena Garza; brother, Ernesto Davila.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church.
