Jimmie Cox

Jimmie Ray Cox, 74, a resident of Riviera, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Kingsville. He was born January 5, 1940 in Edna, Texas. Jimmie graduated from George West High School in 1959. He retired from Celanese in 1996. Jimmie was a reserved Deputy Sheriff in Kleberg County. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and gunsmithing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Louise Cox.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 53 years of marriage, Doris Ann Cox of Riviera one son, Matt Cox Lori of Corpus Christi, Texas one sister, Peggy Wiley of Edna, Texas one granddaughter, Briana Cox of Corpus Christi and one grandson, Garrett Cox of Corpus Christi.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will follow that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at St. George Cemetery, George West, Texas.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
