Jere Durham

LCDR Jere Carlton "Bull" Durham born 24 December, 1937 and passed 19 August, 2016 after a short illness while at his daughter's home in Austin, Texas. Jere is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Joan Anita Durham. Bull sired five children, Robin, David, Lynne, Pat, and Rusty; was known as Grandpa Bull to several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, numerous family friends and assimilated family members.

Jere had a great love for his country and proudly served a brief enlistment in the United States Army and over 20 years of active duty in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator, Attack Pilot. Bull served his country with great pride and multiple sacrifices.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with a Funeral Service on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at NAS Kingsville Chapel. Jere and Joanie will, together, be interned at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma in a private service at a later date.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
