Janan Nova Sahtout, age 56, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Kingsville. She was born December 9, 1959 in Austin, Texas to Mahmoud "Mike" Sahtout and Nova Miears Sahtout. Janan was a 1978 graduate of H.M. King High School. She received her B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. She worked at the Texas Department of Highways for 33 years in the Corpus Christi, Texas office. Janan was a member of the First Baptist Church and was also an active volunteer for the Future Farmers of America.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mahmoud "Mike" Sahtout.
Janan is survived by two daughters, Christina Nova Lee and Rachel Adele Lee, both of Bishop, Texas; mother, Nova Sahtout of Kingsville; and two sisters, Muna
Kelly (Craig) of Doha, Qatar and Lila Harless (Gary) of Brunssum, Netherlands.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, 312 West King Avenue, Kingsville, with Rev. Jack Willoughby officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
