James Nix

James P. Nix, age 82, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Kingsville. He was born April 14, 1935 in Kingsville to Virgil James Nix and Dixie Laura Hester Nix. James was the owner of Auto Care Center in Kingsville. He was a supporter of the Youth of Kleberg-Kenedy County Livestock Show for 23 years. Mr. Nix was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Roberta Lee Nix Cole.
Mr. Nix is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Evelyn Tobias Nix of Kingsville; one son, Larry Nix and wife Susan of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; and one niece, Carol Cole of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Vallilea Blair officiating.
