James Fowler

James LaTaine Fowler Jr, age 91, passed away on December 6, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. James was born on December 4, 1927 in West, Texas to James LaTaine Fowler and Emma Louise Pauline Benkendorfer. During his lifetime he was one of the original employees at Celanese and retired after working for 44 years. James also owned and enjoyed flying his plane. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his true love, Shirley Payne Fowler, brother, Toy Fowler, sister, Doris Griffin, five sons; Bud (Sandi) Dunphy, Len (Beth) Dunphy, Herb (Shelley) Dunphy, Jim (Tammy) Fowler, and Tim (Diana) Fowler. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at Chamberlain Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to River Hills Baptist Church in Calallen.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
