Israel Ray Perez, age 85, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in League City, Texas. He was born February 8, 1929 in Falfurrias, Texas to Abel Perez and Guadalupe Villarreal Perez. Mr. Perez was employed with the city of Kingsville until his retirement. He was the former owner of Ricardo Quick Service Convenience Store. He also had been employed with the Coca Cola Company for many years. Ray was a faithful member of St. Martins Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death September 20, 2013 by his wife of 64 years of marriage, Teodosa Toche G. Perez and son, Oscar Ray Perez.
Ray is survived by two sons, Rogerio Roy Omar Perez Olga of Raymondville, Texas and Arnulfo Nufo Perez Donna of League City, Texas five grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Martins Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail.
