Irene Trevino

Irene Y. Trevino, age 97 passed away on January 24, 2017 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born February 22, 1919 in Falfurrias, Texas to parents Irenio Ybarra and Gregoria Solis. Our mother was a wonderful mother. She loved all her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. She had many talents, she was a great cook, a wonderful seamstress and loved to do crafts. Her house was always full of laughter, food, and family fun. Her cornbread dressing is a community favorite at Thanksgiving. She will be greatly missed by all her family.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; husband, Gabriel R. Trevino; and son, Antonio Trevino.
She is survived by her four daughters; Gloria Villarreal (Pete Villarreal), Esther Perez (Frank Perez), Consuelo Espino (Salvador Espino), Mary Lou Garza (David Garza) and one brother; Israel Ybarra (Mary Lou) and five sisters; Isabela Ramos, Inez Lerma, Ignacia Quinones, Virginia Marking ( Darrell Marking), and Hilda Flores (Abraham Flores). Nine grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Martins Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
