Homero Martinez, Jr.

Homero "J.R." Martinez, Jr., age 35, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Kingsville. He was born November 3, 1980 in Kingsville to Homero G. Martinez and Emma G. Martinez. J.R. was a former Bartender. He excelled in several sports especially in tennis, where he obtained a scholarship to attend Temple Junior College in Temple, Texas. He was an avid Spurs fan and was a competitive poker player. His purpose was to share his love for music and sports, spread his love and to make a difference in everyone's life.
He survived by his beloved parents, Homero G. Martinez and Emma G. Martinez of Kingsville; one sister, Jennifer Lynn Martinez of Kingsville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be dearly missed by his parents, loving sister, family and friends, but especially his pets, Gigi and Ginobili.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the Turcotte Mortuary Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Kingsville. Interment will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
