Homar Gonzalez

Homar Gonzalez, age 73, a resident of Sarita, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1944 in Kenedy County, Texas to Jesus Gonzalez and Rafaela Villarreal Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez was employed for the San Pedro Kenedy Ranch most of his life. He was a member of House of Prayer Church in Riviera, Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Emma Lerma and Delia Gonzalez Lerma; and one brother, Jesus Gonzalez.
He is survived by his wife 53 years of marriage, Cristelia C. Gonzalez of Sarita; one daughter, Christina Escobedo (Jesus) of Kingsville, Texas; four sons, Omar C. Gonzalez Jr. (Linda) and Eliberto Gonzalez, both of Sarita, Armando Gonzalez (Sandra) of Kingsville and Gilbert Gonzalez (Glenda) of Sarita; two sisters, Elma Montiel of Riviera, Texas and Celia Alegria of Falfurrias, Texas; two brothers, Baldemar Gonzalez of Kingsville and Johnny Joe Gonzalez of Sarita; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Danny Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow in Riviera, Texas at Riviera Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
