Herman Kunze age 79, resident of Bishop, went to be with our Lord on March 21, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on November 1, 1936 in Chapman Ranch, Texas to Carl H. Kunze Jr. and Geneva McCain.
He worked for Celanese for 30 years as a welder and he was a Jack of all Trades. Herman loved to make sausage, jerky, smoked turkey and homemade summer sausage.
He deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Lou Kunze for 59 years, children; Herman "Sonny" (Linda) Kunze from Mathis, Joe (Michelle) Kunze from Bishop, Barbara Kunze and companion Jason Moerbe from Bishop. His sister Ruth Bruns from Roundrock and brother Charles Cave from Sinton and his 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Bishop, Texas. A Gathering will be held at the K.C. Hall after the service. Services are entrusted by Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas.
