Herbert Andrews Jr.

Herbert "Bud" Andrews, Jr, 94, beloved father and "Grampie", was called to his eternal home on November 24, 2020. He was born on October 18, 1926, in Kingsville, Texas to Herbert and Katharine Andrews.

Bud was a hardworking rancher and loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, watercolor painting, his family, and his beloved dog "Poochie." Bud proudly served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and loved sharing stories of his time while serving.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peggy Jeanne Williams Andrews, and his two sisters, Jean and Katharine Andrews.

He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Heitkamp (Scott), his son Herbert "Buddy" Andrews (Nicole), and his grandchildren, Hailey Linz (Brent), Andrew Heitkamp, Katharine Andrews, Harrison Little, and Nicholas Little.

A private memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.

The family wishes to thank his caretaker, Laurie, for all the laughter, joy, care, and love she gave him. He loved his "Peach.” The family also wishes to thank Garden Estates and Serenity & Grace Hospice for the compassion, dignity, and care that was given to our dad in the last week of his life.
