Dorothy S. Huff

Dorothy Swetlick Huff was born September 23, 1929, in Robstown, Texas to Stephan and Mary Swetlick and died September 27, 2023, in Industry, Texas. Dorothy married Leonard Huff on August 15, 1950, in Robstown, Texas. Dorothy and Leonard had 8 Children and enjoyed over 54 years of marriage together. Dorothy was an active member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Vattman, Texas for many years.

Dorothy is survived by her five children, Jean Marie Jenkins (Allen), Leonard Huff III (Mary), David Huff, Susan St.Cyr (Bill), and Stephanie Huff. She is also survived by 1 Grandson, Stephan Jenkins (Michelle) and 4 Granddaughters, Lauren Jackson (Chase), Danielle Huff (Josh), Frances St. Cyr and Leah St. Cyr (Raleigh) and 3 great grandchildren, Conner, Grace and Clara Jackson. Dorothy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in Death by her parents, her husband Leonard, their children Patricia, John and Susan, her brothers Louis and Willie and her sister Margaret.

Dorothy was a strong woman of character with incredible Faith in God and boundless love for her family and friends. She was a smiling, generous human being who was interested in everyone and anything. She will be missed forever by those blessed to have known her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Vattmann, Texas. The Rite of Committal will follow at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Dorothy had requested that memorial contributions be made in her honor to Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
